A few things, new and almost-new

My ISP increased my internet speed! They automatically changed their 3mbps / 256kbps package to 4mbps / 512kbps, which used to cost twice as much, but isn't going to cost me a thing! In other news, my friend Stacy finally told me she was pregnant, and she is going to keep the child. Horray! I also got a hold of my friend Stefanie, who hadn't been answering her phone or returning phone calls to me or Stacy for the last two or three weeks. Apparently she felt guilty for letting Stacy down when she was supposed to take Stacy to the doctor, and she didn't want to talk to her. She didn't want to talk to me, for fear that I would tell Stacy; and the longer she waited to call us, the more she didn't want to. All is good now though.

Also, my friend Dennis and his wife Nicole are expecting a child in January. They were hoping really hard for a baby girl, but everyone in both of their families have had boys, including themselves, having two of their own, so the odds were really against it happening, but yesterday they found out that it will in fact be a girl. I can't imagine how happy they were when they found out =P.

What's going on?

I haven't been able to get a hold of my friend Stefanie for the last 2.5 weeks or so. Tried calling every two or three days, and text messaging her. My friend Stacy has been trying as well, with no luck; but then my friend Dennis said he was able to get a hold of her a week ago. Stacy and I couldn't figure out why she wasn't answering/returning our calls, so we called Stefanie's ex-boyfriend/friend-with-benefits Mike, and he said she's been "working double shifts" and other BS, but I don't buy it. How could you not get 5 minutes out of a couple weeks to let us know what's going on? No one works double shifts every day for three weeks! I went over to her house tonight (as she lives about 200 feet from me) but no one was home either time, and yet again, she didn't answer her phone. When I called her, her phone only rang twice before going to her voice mail, which basically means she hit the "END" button on her cell phone instead of just letting it ring.

I'm Feeling: tired....it's almost 2 in the morning...

I was over at my best friend Mike's house today. He has a picture of us at a party a couple years back. The picture shows my friend Richard sitting in a chair, my friend Mike behind him, and me with the evil grin on my face. Basically Richard had been thinking for a long time about putting a scar on his chest that sort of looked like three claw marks. That night he got drunk enough to try it, so we took a 3 pronged fork, stuck it on the stove top, turned it on high, and waited for it to heat up. No one wanted to be the one to stick the fork on him, but I was pretty high at the time, so I volunteered. It's probably been two years since then, and I'm really not sure if the wound has completely healed. It was infected for probably six months. Richard probably wouldn't care about the time it's taking to heal if the scar had even turned out right, but alas, all he has is a large oval on the right side of his chest.... Good times =P
